Scary message : everybody is standing in circle or in line. One person write a scary message on a piece of paper,and whispers the message to the next person in the right. When the message reaches the person sitting to the left of the originator or at the end of the line, the message is spoken aloud and compared with the written message. Usually the message comes back funny and distorted.

Hangman Halloween game: the classic hangman game but with Halloween words

Create a scary tale: one person starts a scary tale. Just one phrase. The next person continues the story. On and on until there is an end. For the mood, is better to be done in a dark room with a candle. For fun, is great to record the story and at the end to listen it all.

Build a scarecrow: two teams race to build a scarecrow from old clothes, newspapers and whatever item they have handy. as a prize, the first scarecrow finished is placed outside or in the balcony.

Of course, if you dad has a cell phone, a special text message for father's day will be a nice thought, even if you meet him later.

That amount still gives you a lot of options, and the final is a symbolic gift , in nice paper packaging or gift box (those will cost you under a dollar).
Picture frame, with a photo of you and your dad.
Flowers, if your dad likes them, flowers in a pot, better, because he is going to think of you every time he is taking care of them.

A real leather wallet, that is always a good gift for a men, regardless of age.
Gardening new tools, or barbecue tools, or handyman tools.
