Father's day

Father`s day is a hollyday that celebrates fathers, their role in family and in society.Is celebrated in the third Sunday of June in 52 of the world's countries and in the rest of the world in other dates.
When is fathers day exactly? In US, UK and Canada is 20th of June (2010), in Australia and New Zealand is September 5th -2010.

For example, in Italy, Portugal, Spain, fathers day is celebrated in 19 march, in Russia on 23 february,in Austria and Belgium ( this year , 2010 ) is 13 June, -second sunday of June, or in Thailand 5 December

In US and Canada , people wear roses to present their respect for the fathers.The roses can be white-in a memory of a lost father or red for the fathers that are still alive.

A popular tradition is to spend fathers day with family, dining out or having a family party.As gifts, the most usual are cards, flowers, books. For the fathers that are living in another household the usual gift is a movie ticket or a ticket to a sport event.
